Art with Heart frequently asked questions and terms and conditions

What is the 52-Week Illustration Challenge?
52-Week Illustration Challenge is an online community of creative people from all over the world. Each week there is a different theme for members to use as inspiration and produce a piece of art to post on the Facebook Group wall each week.

Why are Challenge members raising funds for MND Research?
Their much loved and valued Challenge member Vanessa Pritchard has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) along with her triplet Mandy. She lost her other triplet Emma three years ago and sadly last year, also lost her mum to this horrid disease.

The 52-Week Illustration Challenge community are showing their support for Vanessa through this MND ART SALE. Challenge members have generously donated their artwork (original and/or prints) with ALL monies raised going toward MND Research.

How do I purchase an artwork?
Don't miss out - the sale opens on 8pm Wednesday 6 April 2016 and each artwork can only be sold once. Artworks will be added to the sale right up until 6 April, so keep checking back until the Sale opens to view all the glorious artwork donated for this fundraiser.

All prices will be listed in AU$. Payment can ONLY be made via this site.

Each piece of art has information about the artist and the individual artwork.
Please note, there may be postage restrictions to some locations because the artists are not only donating the artwork, they are also donating postage costs. When you purchase your artwork select the Art with Heart delivery option and you will not be charged for postage.

Once I purchase an artwork how do I receive it?
When you purchase an artwork, your shipping address will be provided to the artist for postage purposes. The artist will post the artwork to you by regular post.

What if there are problems?
The 52-Week Illustration Challenge and MND NSW take no responsibility for unpaid items or lost or damaged artworks. This will remain the responsibility of the buyer and the seller and although we will try to assist where it is within our ability to do so, we will not act as an intermediary at any time.

Glossary
ORIGINAL artwork
The original artwork is traditionally created. It is either the original hand drawn, painted, inked, pencilled, collaged piece of work. Usually a higher end price because it is a one off original piece of art.
GICLEE print
Giclée has come to be associated with particular types of inkjet printing including processes that use fade-resistant, archival inks (pigment-based), and archival substrates primarily produced on Canon, Epson, HP and other large-format printers. They are quite expensive to produce which is why they cost more to purchase.
LIMITED EDITION print
Limited edition means that there are only a certain number of prints created. (Edition quantity decided by the artist) Usually a Giclée print, it is identical to the original and signed, dated along with its edition number. Example: if the Limited Edition print is 30, then each of the prints will have 1/30, 2/30, 3/30 etc... Once this quantity has been sold, no further prints will be produced, making it second to buying an original.
ORDINARY prints (eg Officeworks)
These prints are done on regular printers and are not guaranteed to be archival inks. They may fade over time. They are quite inexpensive to create.
